politics

I don't follow politics. But, I know that Russ Feingold was one of the best senators that the United States has ever seen. He was unafraid to vote against his party and worked with his opponents to make reasonable decisions. He voted in senate like a real person, which is a quality that arguably no other senator has going for him/her. He is a solid person who really did fight for what he and his Wisconsinites wanted. I am extremely disappointed that he lost tonight, and am frankly frightened for what the future holds. It scares me that people are so easily swayed by small frames of time, small trifles, disappointments. It's horrible. I am also appalled at the number of mud slinging ads that I've seen throughout this election. The Feingold ads that I saw were honest ads that told me why I should vote for him and why he had been elected in the past.

Wisconsin lost one of its best today. I'm disappointed in my fellow Wisconsinites (Madisonians, way-up-northers, and Milwaukeeans excluded, I guess) because they failed to see all the great things that Feingold has done for our state by not always following party lines.

Herb Kohl, it's all on you.
