Kenya: Baboons and Elephants and Rhinos, oh my!

Yesterday we (Louise, Georgia and myself) went to the elephant orphanage right here outside of town. It was AMAZING as I got to pet several real, live, baby elephants, a rhino and see a ton of baboons. I also saw some other wildlife like dung beetles and the like. One of the best experiences of my life. Elephants feel like hulking, wrinkly, bristly, warm rocks.

Teaching the kids is going well. It's just a huge communication barrier type thing, but reading to them really helps them I think. They just need attention, of which I can only try to begin to scratch the surface of giving them. I'm so exhausted right now I can't really describe it in more detail, but I did teach them algebra today.

Time for me to go. Hope to update again next week, heading to Nairobi for a last hurrah with my Canadian friends before they leave.

:)
